Bread + Butter is a place built for togetherness. A unique amalgamation of a small batch butter factory – Tasmanian Butter Company, wholesale/retail bakery, onsite eatery and coffee bar.
Our mission is to deliver delicious + exceptional bread, pastries, coffee and breakfast for our community every single day of the year.

Tasmanian Butter Company
We bake fresh pastries + sourdough bread everyday and use 100% cultured butter from our own butter factory.
Our small batch butter made using cultured cream. This is done slowly using traditional methods, then it’s churned, hand-worked and salted to perfection.
This is our labour of love, our ode to the savoury, the creamy, the mighty goodness of butter.

The naturally leavened bread we bake at Bread + Butter is hand crafted and produced traditional methods.
In New Zealand during the 1960’s bakeries only produced bread Monday to Friday. This created high demand on Friday. In response to this Bakeries started producing a single loaf of bread on Sunday.
The Sunday loaf became highly sought after and it is still is regarded this way today.
Paying homage to this idea we produce a new loaf each Sunday which is only available on that day.
